Shepherd Village
A vibrant cohousing community in Shepherdstown, West Virginia
Shepherd Village is a cohousing community planned as a cozy, clustered neighborhood on a rolling, wooded 19-acre site at the eastern edge of Shepherdstown, consisting of 30 modest-sized homes incorporating energy efficient and sustainable materials. Currently at the planning and construction phase, ground was broken on the site in June 2017.
As with most cohousing projects, individual community members will own their own homes. They will also share ownership of a common house, a community garden with a large garden shed, a woodworking and tool shop, and green space and walking paths.
All 30 plots are currently taken up, but Shepherd Village welcomes enquiries through their website.
