Atlas of Caregiving
Supporting transformative change for caregiving through innovative research, practical solutions, and rich collaboration
Caregiving is often an isolated and under-appreciated endeavor that is not well understood. Current systems intended to support caregivers, usually family members, cannot scale to help meet their needs, and in turn, affect those who are requiring care.
New reports on the scope of this growing issue – and new products, programs and services to engage caregivers – are being released every day. But without deep, contextual knowledge about the day-to-day experience of caregivers it will be difficult to address the critical challenges that lie ahead.
US-based Atlas of Caregiving envisions a world where caregiving is valued and supported as fundamental to a healthy society. Their mission is to catalyze a transformative change for caregiving through innovative research, practical solutions, and rich collaboration. An important aspect of this work is the creation of “caregiving maps” to help clarify exactly where a person’s support comes from, a useful exercise that can help anyone thinking about who is really “there for them.”
